Day 01: Arrive Cochin - Thrissur (90 Kms Approx 2 hrs Drive)
Arrive at Kochi Airport/Railway Station and proceed to Thrissur for check-in to hotel. Thrissur is located in the Thrissur District around 90 Kms from the city of Kochi. After refreshment proceed to visit the major sightseeing points:
Guruvayur Temple - Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, located in the town of Guruvayur in Thrisur.
Anakotta - Guruvayoor Elephant Sanctuary (Anakotta - Guruvayoor Elephant Sanctuary), Anakotta (aka anathavalam) is a unique place - a world of elephants of different sizes and natures.
Shakthan Thampuran Palace - Named as Vadakkechira Palace, was reconstructed in Kerala-Dutch style in 1795 by Sri. Ramavarma Thampuran of the erstwhile Princely State of Cochin, well as Sakthan Thampuran(Greatest ruler of the Cochin dynasty) is preserved by Archaeological Department.
Overnight at Thrissur.
Day 02 & 03: Cherai (65 Kms approx. 1 1/2 hrs drive from Thrissur)
On Day 02 check-out from hotel & drive from Thrissur to Cherai and check-in to hotel. Cherai is sheer eye candy! Located at just about 25 Kms from Kochi It is a delectable combination of green paddy fields, coconut palms, backwaters and of course, the omnipresent Arabian Sea. The unique position enjoyed by Cherai in the tourism map of Kerala stems from the fact that it is strategically located. One side borders the Arabian Sea and the Backwaters borders the other side. The beach frontage and the backwater frontage have given Cherai such magnificent scenic beauty that it is doubtful if such beauty spots exist anywhere else in Kerala. Local tour covered is of Cochin - Visit all the major tourist attractions which covers Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, chinese fishing nets. In the evening visit Cochin beach and 6.30pm proceed for a kathakali show (optional), kerala's own classical dance drama program. Overnight stay at Cherai.
Day 04 & 05: Cherai - Munnar via Athirappilly Falls (66 Kms & then 140 Kms to Munnar)
Morning post breakfast, check-out early and proceed to Athirappilly Falls and enjoy the 80 feet tall beauty of the waterfall. Later proceed to Munnar on a fascinating journey to Munnar covered with unending expanse of tea plantation. The panoramic view of the Cardamom hills & green carpets of tea plantation is an unforgettable experience. Local tour of Munnar - Visit Eravikulam National Park where you can see the very rare mountain goats locally called the nilgiri tahr, pothamedu (view of tea, coffee & cardamom plantation & breath taking hills & lush mountains) the echo point, thoovanam falls, top station dairy farm, mattupety lake & dam etc and overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 06: Munnar - Thekkady (90 Kms approx. 2 hrs drive from Munnar)
Morning have breakfast at resort later check out resort and drive to Thekkady. Thekkady is a world famous wildlife sanctuary and it is also called as Periyar. On arrival, check in at the resort. Afternoon proceed to visit the spice plantations like cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee, tea estates, proceed for a game viewing cruise on the Periyar Lake. Here you will be able to see a large variety of wildlife, which include elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar etc. Evening you can take an Elephant ride (optional) at Periyar wildlife to watch wild animals. On your way back to the hotel, stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices; Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Day 07: Thekkady - Kumarakom (120 kms - Approx 3 hrs drive from Thekkady)
Morning have breakfast at resort later check out resort and drive to Kumarakom, a place best known for the honeymooners. It is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake. The lush green vegetation and the climate attract a number of tourists to this place. On reaching Kumarakom, check in the backwater resort and later on move out for the local tour. Visit the Kumarakom bird sanctuary and rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.
Day 08: Kumarakom - Alleppey (53 Kms Approx 1 hr 20 mins drive for Houseboat stay)
Morning after breakfast transfer to deluxe houseboat to enjoy the backwater stay with cruise from Alleppey to Alleppey. This journey is considered to be one of the best attractions. The houseboat is fully furnished with single and double bedrooms, sundeck, private balcony and a kitchen. It also comprises a chef, oarsmen & cabin assistant. The materials that go into the making are all local and eco-friendly bamboo poles, coconut fiber ropes, bamboo mats, coir carpets etc. Overnight stay in the Houseboat.
Day 09 & 10: Alleppey - Kovalam (160 Kms Approx 4 1/2 hrs drive from Alleppey)
Morning have breakfast at houseboat, check out and drive to Kovalam. Kovalam is one of the world's famous tourist destinations for Beach lovers. On arrival you will be transferred to beach resort. The white sands of Kovalam beach are the best in Kerala. You are promised with a relaxed stay at the palm fringed beaches. Local tour of Kovalam - Visit the museum complex, Padmanabha swamy temple, science & technology museum. Day Trip to Kanyakumari, Tamilnadu. Kanyakumari is located at the southernmost tip of the Indian subcontinent at the confluence of three major water bodies videlicet the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean. Visit the Padmanbhapuram Palace, Suchithram Temple, Devi Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda Memorial, and Triveni Sangamam. Overnight stay at the Kovalam.
Day 11: Kovalam - Trivandrum (16 kms - Approx 20 mins drive)
Morning have breakfast at resort, later transfer to airport/railway station to board your flight/train to onward destination from Trivandrum.
